Algonquin Middle School

Week four starts with little fanfare. I've started a new blog on the blogger.com site. My old blog on bloglines didn't allow comments.
Three teachers shared a birthday this past Sunday, Mrs. Turpin, Mr. Gras, and Ms. Jelinek. The staff doen't seem big enough for three on one day. Ms. Jelinek brought in leftover birthday cake. I certainly didn't need the calories, but I can state for a fact it was moist cake.
The posting for Mrs. Turpin's position was up today. The last I knew two internal candidates applied. Mrs. Shacket from the middle school and a teacher from the high school. I started reviewing resumes in case I need to fill Mrs. Shacket's position. I called a couple candidates I interviewed this summer for the social studies position that I would like to see in long term subbing positions. The decition on the position should be made tommorrow.
